HOLOCAUST COMMEMORATION DAY:  PROF. KRANTZ REFLECTS

DEGRADATION, AND REDEMPTION:  BIDEN, ISRAEL AND THE GAZA WAR:  Frederick Krantz, Isranet, May 7, 2024 —  In the Jewish Messianic tradition the this-worldly redemption of Israel at the end of time also means the redemption of all mankind. The Messiah, a human being descended from the House of David, will lead all peoples to worship together in Jerusalem, ushering in the end of hatred, division, conflict, and suffering.  Peace and plenty will reign, and all mankind will enjoy the Edenic fruits enjoyed at the beginning of time only by its forbears, Adam and Eve.

Israel today, as it resumes the Gaza campaign against Hamas in Rafah, stands alone, as it did in 1948 and 1967, as the Jewish people did after 70 CE and 135 and again and again across history, until the near-escape from genocide called the Holocaust. Today, the U.S., led by the Biden Administration, has chosen to support the current agent of genocide, Iran-backed Hamas and the Palestinians. In its desire to bend Israel to its will, it denies it crucial war materiel (above all, J-Dams, precision-guided “Joint-Direct Action Munitions” needed to destroy deeply-hidden terrorist installations while minimizing civilian casualties). …

Prof. Frederick Krantz is the CIJR Executive Director (Emeritus) and founder.

Northwestern University Bends Knee to Palestinian Protestors in Scary Precedent:  Roger L. Simon, Epoch Times, May 1, 2024 — “You are now entering Northwestern liberated zone,” the scrawled sign says on the university gate, accompanied by a Palestinian flag. True that, superficially anyway.

NYPD’s Bust Up at Columbia Doesn’t Mean This Disgraceful Antisemitic Episode Is Over:  Michael Goodwin, NY Post, May 1, 2024 — Although the NYPD was finally allowed to do its job at Columbia University, it would be a mistake to believe the disgraceful episode is over.  After all, the pro-Hamas stooges, the complicit faculty and the quisling administrators are still jockeying for power.

Opinion: Why the Gaza War Has Spun Campuses into Chaos:  Fareed Zakaria, CNN, Apr. 26, 2024 —  It’s difficult to know what to make of the turmoil on college campuses these days — the protests, polarization, intimidation and general bitterness.

Five for Fighting: A Lone Voice Sings for Israel:  Michael Hennessey, WSJ, Apr. 26, 2024 — The music industry loves a good cause. Band Aid, Live Aid, Farm Aid, Stand Up to Cancer, Hope for Haiti, the Concert for Sandy Relief, the Concert for Ukraine—when the issue is potent enough, big-name musicians from every genre will come, and usually perform for free. All they typically want is to show the world how much they care
