Call For Articles: “Anti-Israeli Activism And Discrimination At Canada’s Universities”

CIJR is looking for students interested in doing research and writing articles on anti-Israeli activism and discrimination at universities and other institutions of higher education. The articles can be both based on personal experience or follow a more theoretical approach.

Possible subjects

  • Islamist, Palestinian nationalist and other anti-Israeli activity on your campus
  • Experiences of personal discrimination by staff and professors
  • Bias in teaching and research

This list is not exhaustive and papers on other subjects will also be considered.

Article length: 500-1000 words.

Please send a CV and a short abstract (not more than 200 words) to cijr@isranet.org until June 20, 2019. The deadline for the article submission is August 1, 2019.

All accepted articles will be published on our website. The ten best articles will also be published in our print magazine Dateline Middle East, the only Canadian student newspaper on Israel and related issues. Published uninterruptedly over the last thirty years, Dateline Middle East addresses Israel’s role in international affairs, global anti-Semitism, traditional Jewish and modern cultural issues, and human-rights in Arab and Islamic countries.
