Video of the assault went viral online and several politicians, including Premier François Legault, Prime Minister Mark Carney and Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, all condemned this violent attack.

Pierre, Algemeiner, Aug. 8, 2025 —  The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) on Friday launched the Jewish Policy Index (JPI), a “first interactive tool of its kind” for evaluating the efficacy of policies that US states have adopted to combat antisemitism.
